Effective 27 October 2026. Draftproof is a browser extension and website by an independent two-person developer team ("we"). This policy is short because the product is deliberately limited in what it can see.
Draftproof reads the KDP form that is already displayed in your browser, evaluates it against a rule library stored inside the extension, and shows you the result on screen. That evaluation happens entirely on your machine. The extension has no server of its own, sends no analytics, contains no tracking code, and does not transmit your title, keywords, manuscript, ISBN, account identifiers or any other book data anywhere.
The extension requests no host permissions. Its only permitted network destination is our own static rule file on our CDN; its only permitted page is kdp.amazon.com, and even there it is read-only — it never writes a value, clicks a control, or submits a form.
Two things, both in Chrome's local storage area, both removable by clearing the extension: (1) a cached copy of the most recent rule library we published, so a CDN outage cannot disable your checks, and (2) the date you first installed. Uninstalling the extension deletes both.
Payments are processed by a third-party merchant of record (Creem, or an equivalent such as Gumroad). They receive your email and payment details and handle tax invoices; we receive your email and a licence key so we can deliver the product. We do not see your card number. We use your email to send the key and occasional rule-update notices; every message carries an unsubscribe route, and you can ask us to delete it at any address below.
The page you are reading is static. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The pre-launch email field, when present, opens your own mail client and submits nothing to us.
Draftproof is a business tool for adult self-publishers. It is not directed at children.
If we ever add a capability that changes what leaves your computer, this policy will say so before that version ships, and the extension's store listing will be updated in the same release. Questions, or a request to delete an email address: hello@getdraftproof.com.
